Tŷ Haul (Sun House) isn’t just a name; it’s a promise.
A promise of warm welcomes, quiet moments, and spaces that hold meaning. We chose the name “Sun House” not just for the light that streams through its windows, but for the sense of renewal it offers.
Where It Began
What began as a vision became a home reimagined; a place where past and present are beautifully aligned.
Built in 1874 and fully renovated in 2025, we honoured its heritage through thoughtful design, drawing on local craftsmanship, layered materials, and a designer’s eye for comfort and flow. From its freestanding bath to the soft gleam of oak floors, every detail was chosen to elevate everyday rituals into something memorable.
But a house is never just bricks and beams. It’s about how it makes you feel.

Here, the legacy of Cefn Mawr lives quietly in the background, the slate, the aqueduct, the working history of a village that once powered industries and now invites peace.
